A Million Milestone for Tour de Flex

According to Adobe Flex Evangelist Greg Wilson, the HDI project Tour de Flex has reached 1,000,000 downloads of sample applications. This milestone was reached less than one month after it was publicly released at the Adobe MAX 2008 conference.

Adobe is using Tour de Flex to increase interest in Flex, a development environment used for creating applications that run either online in the Flash Player or as stand alone, installed AIR (Adobe Integrated Runtime) software on Windows, Mac, or Linux.

As the developer of Tour de Flex, HD Interactive is taking a leadership role in this exciting new platform. The Flex expertise of HD Interactive will be a strategic advantage to our clients as branded applications become increasingly important in an overall online strategy and a new avenue for creating a lasting connection with customers.

The tour de flex interface is beautiful. any chance the source project files for that interface will be released to the public? Wishful thinking I’m sure, but I doubt could afford to hire you guys to do a similar one for my elearning project! Great work though :)

Thanks a lot for the compliments! If the source files were to be given out, it would be by permission from Greg Wilson. Check out his blog and send him a message too. Thanks!
