ChessJam 2.2 Boasts New Features
Since we released ChessJam two months ago, we’ve been working hard and adding new features to make the game even better. This week, we updated to ChessJam 2.2, which includes even more of the awesome graphics ChessJam is famous for and some fine tuning of our multi-game feature which allows you to play and watch up to six games at a time!
The biggest addition to the game is our new Stats page, set in the castle gardens. Here, ChessJam displays the wins, losses, draws, and ratings of the top players to see who is the best ChessJammer. You can be a top player by simply playing 15 games against other human opponents.
From the stats page, users can also see the country leader board. Each ChessJam user lists their country of origin during sign up and is now representing that country. This should create some healthy international competition! Check out the Top Countries stats tab to view the Olympic style standings.
There is also a Game History tab on the stats page that lists every game a user has ever played on ChessJam, along with the Portable Game Notation for easy sharing. This is a great learning tool for chess players because it allows you to review your old games and review the games of others to see what works and what gets you checkmated.
The ChessJam community is growing every day. New features are added weekly and bugs are fixed quickly when spotted. The user feedback in our forums has helped us find these small bugs and choose which features will be added next.
ChessJam has many new features and surprises coming soon. We hope you check it out and spread the word!
