Last month, we announced that HDI and Adobe were holding a TFFADG (Tampa Flash, Flex, and Air Developers Group) networking event in Tampa.  The event was a success!  In attendance were Adobe evangelists James Ward, Christophe Coenraets, and Greg Wilson, as well as HDI employees Trae, Todd, Sabrina, and me, Holly and The Chicks that Code, our friends James Brown, Allen from Jibidee, Theresa from Channel 10, Sandra from Angel Systems and so many more old and new friends.  We had a really great time with lots of free beer and food.
The last time we mentioned ChessJam was a month ago when we hit 1 million moves and announced our first Survivor Sunday tournament. There have now been more than 2.3 million moves made on ChessJam and we’ve had six successful Survivor Sunday tournaments, all of which were both fun and competitive. We’d like to congratulate ChessJam user psb1101, who has played in this tournament five times, including four first place finishes! Â During his time with ChessJam, he has lost only four games out of 90 played! Â ChessJam has new features to celebrate too. Â The most popular feature connects Facebook to ChessJam, allowing users to post screen shots of their latest game to show their Facebook friends.
In our last post, we mentioned the Lunch 2.0 talk I was giving at Giordano’s Wednesday, February 10th. Â The meeting was good and had a great attendance, including Brenda Young, who organized the lunch, and Barry Ezell, who runs the Tampa iPhone Meetup group. We had a great talk about Augmented Reality and other new technologies, including the iPad, Flash on mobile phones, virtual goods, and more.
I was recently invited to speak at two other upcoming conferences, which I am excited about. I’ll fill you in when I know more.
