Big Things Happening at ChessJam!
ChessJam has come a long way since its inception only a few months ago: we have more than 6,000 users playing more than 1,000 games per day. Â The most recent milestone ChessJam experienced was the three millionth move made a few days ago.
But the biggest news at ChessJam is the introduction of ChessJam 3.0, which offers better Facebook integration, a new tournament, and fun, crazy chess games that add a little variety to your chess playing.
In the last ChessJam update, we incorporated Facebook integration that prompted users to share a screen shot of their winning move on the popular social site.  Now when users choose to share, a link to the user’s game history is also included  so friends can watch a replay of the entire game.
The live Turbo Tournament is another new ChessJam feature. Â It’s a fully automatic, ongoing tournament. Â To play, users sit at a table in the round one section; eight people start in round one and winners are automatically moved on to round two and then round three. Â The winner of the tournament is added to the Turbo leader board and, once the third round is completed, round one tables open up so a new tournament can start.
ChessJam’s new Crazy Games room is exactly what it sounds like: a room of crazy chess games. Â Each table has a different starting position, none of which are your typical board layout. Â The tables are labeled with games like Triple Knights, Mind the Gap, Mirror Mirror, and more. Â We included this room to give players the chance to have fun without worrying about their ratings.
