Employee Profile: Trae Regan, Project Manager
Born and raised in the Florida Keys, Trae Regan got his first computer when he was only ten years old. Â His early years were spent playing games and “designing” in Microsoft Paint. Â This early computer interaction had him hooked.
I met Trae years later, in 2000, when he began pursuing an AS in Interactive Media at The International Academy of Design and Technology in Tampa. Â He graduated at the end of 2001 and began working for the school’s IT department where he spent five years continuing to learn about, and solve problems with, computer hardware and software.
In 2005, Trae’s love for computers and programming prompted a career change, and he began work as a freelance web developer, teaching himself new technologies as he progressed. Â He moved to Daytona Beach and started taking on new, exciting projects with HD Interactive.
As time went on, Trae began working more with HD Interactive as we grew, and he soon had more work than time. Â This prompted us to hire a team of developers to work under him, promoting him to Project Manager. Â Trae is responsible for compiling project scopes, the tasks of which are then divided among his developers, depending on skills and time needed. Â Trae still enjoys programming too, and will often save some tasks for himself. Â As tasks are completed, he reviews and makes corrections if necessary, so the client gets a quality website or application.
Trae has been with HDI for five years now, and we are happy to have him. Â He has participated in and helped successfully complete many projects, including jibidee.com. Â If you have an idea for a website, application, or other project, send us an email and we will be happy to build it.
