HDI Project: Museum of Arts and Sciences iPhone App
iPhone apps are a fun way to engage your customers and create loyal fans. The apps can be run on almost any Apple device, making it easy to reach everyone. Lately, we’ve been working hard to help the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Daytona Beach, Florida realize these goals with an interactive application that is both educational and entertaining. We are proud to announce that the app is complete and will be available in the iTunes store soon!
The application for MOAS opens with an introduction screen. From here, users can learn how to contact the museum, view the calendar of events, or take a gallery tour.
The gallery tour is definitely the highlight of this app. Here, users select paintings from the screen and learn more about each piece, including a history and background of the art and artist. This tool is particularly exciting because it allows the Museum to share more information than could fit on a wall plaque. The gallery tour also enables users to view and read about paintings outside of the museum as well, so users can continue their education from anywhere.
To celebrate the release, MOAS is planning Wine and Apps: an iLove my iPhone Party on October 8th. If you’re in the area, come join us! You will meet some of the HD Interactive staff, enjoy some wine, and learn more about the museum’s collections!
