Time to Bring on the Cool Gadgets!
Ah, the first week of January. It’s time to say goodbye to the holidays, focus on those New Year’s resolutions and settle back into a regular work schedule. But it also means that it’s time for the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES)!
CES is held every year in beautiful Las Vegas and offers electronics manufacturers the opportunity to release their products in style to more than 120,000 attendees. Since its inception in 1967, CES has been the platform for trend-setting announcements like Pong, VHS, Blu-ray, the XBOX Kinect, 3D television, and numerous product launches.
The big news this year is the rumored release of multiple tablet devices, which we are excited to get our hands on and develop for! According to Mashable, Toshiba and Vizio are among the big-name electronics manufacturers looking to break into the tablet market.
Thousands of exhibitors will have booths at this show, including Microsoft, Samsung, Google, General Motors, Motorola and more. Keynotes will feature Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer; Boo-Keun Yoon, Samsung’s president; Alan Mulally, president and CEO of Ford; and many more.
Unfortunately, no one at HDI is able to make it to this awesome display of new gadgets, but I’m putting it on my calendar for 2012. CES starts this Thursday, January 6th and runs through Sunday, January 9th. Will you be in attendance? Let us know what catches your eye!
